Description: Technological change has already had a profound impact on legal practice and will continue to do so in the coming months and years. In no sector is this impact more apparent than in intellectual property law. The rapid growth of new technologies, including but not limited to artificial intelligence technologies, is fueling a revolution in the way we think about innovation, inventorship, and infringement. These technologies also are affecting practices in practical ways, from augmenting traditional methods used to conduct conflict and priority searches to complicating protections against unauthorized usage of intellectual property. Panelists will discuss ways in which emerging technologies have impacted their fields of practice, analyzing how much technologies are likely to impact legal practice in the near future.
