Join fellow Ichabods for a trip of a lifetime. Fly to Cairo and spend three nights in one of the world’s most ancient cities. Among other things, enjoy a private Cairo tour, visit the Saladin Citadel, Muhammad Ali Mosque, Grand Egyptian Museum, Giza Plateau and Great Sphinx. Fly to Luxor and visit the Temple Complex and Valley of the Kings. Relax onboard the MS Jaz Regent for a four-night Nile River cruise visiting Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan. Fly to Abu Simbel to visit the Nubian Monuments, then fly to Cairo for an additional night before returning home.
If we sell all 50 staterooms on the MS Jaz Regent, we will have a chartered, private Washburn sailing. As of Aug. 24, 2023, we have sold 32 staterooms. This trip will likely sell out sooner than later. Avoid disappointment and reserve your spot(s) soon.

- Private roundtrip transportation between the Washburn campus and the Kansas City International Airport
- Round trip airfare between Kansas City and Cairo (Other departure cities available; pricing may vary)
- Egyptian tourist visa
- 21 meals - 8 breakfasts, 7 lunches and 6 dinners
- 4 nights hotel accommodations in Cairo
- 4-night Nile River cruise aboard the MS Jaz Regent
- Daily shore excursions
- Sightseeing and admission fees with private tour guide(s) as outlined in itinerary.
- Tipping/gratuities for drivers, tour guides, hotel and cruise personnel.
- Washburn Alumni Association staff member will accompany the group
- Luggage handling and gratuities for one (1) piece of luggage
- All applicable airline, cruise and port taxes, passenger facility charges, and other U.S. and governmental fees and taxes. Fuel surcharges and international taxes are included but are subject to increase.

Things to remember
- Travel with the Washburn Alumni Association is a benefit of membership. Since we sell out nearly every trip we offer, every traveler must be a member of the Alumni Association. You don't have to be a graduate of Washburn to join or to travel with us. The more the merrier!
- The Alumni Association offers travel insurance. Travel medical or trip protection insurance options are available for individuals or groups traveling abroad.
