
Ichabods Moving Forward
A financial emergency can happen to anyone at any time. These circumstances may prevent one of our classmates and friends from attending classes, or if severe, continuing to seek their degree.
Ichabods Moving Forward is a student-led philanthropic organization sponsored by the Washburn University Alumni Association and Foundation. We provide an opportunity for students to help fellow Ichabods through difficult times by supporting an emergency assistance fund for students and by students.
Together, we can make a difference! By donating to the Ichabods Moving Forward emergency fund, you will help a classmate in need. One-hundred percent of your donation goes into the emergency fund.
We are currently accepting assistance applications either by referral or from a student in need. Help us raise awareness of Ichabods Moving Forward and the emergency assistance fund by sharing our mission with those who may need help in the future.
Apply to Receive a Grant
Washburn University students who need immediate financial assistance to stay in school are eligible for grants. We are currently accepting applications for all Washburn students or direct referrals from Washburn faculty or staff.
For the Ichabods Moving Forward application, download the application first, and then fill it out and send it in. Do not fill it out and then download it, as your changes won't be saved. Submit applications and supporting documents to ichabodsmovingforward@wualumni.org. Please note, documentation is required for funding.
